Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez team up in the new drama Lila & Eve, which is something like a modern-day Thelma & Louise!

The action-packed film follows Lila (played by Davis), a mother in mourning trying to come to grips with her son’s murder, who attends a support group where she meets Eve (played by Lopez). Eve encourages Lila to track down her son’s killers and ride out on a revenge-filled adventure!

In the recently released trailer, Eve convinces Lila they have to finish what they started.

Lila & Eve is produced by JuVee Productions, Davis’ new production company that she cofounded with her husband Julius Tennon, who we’ll also see in the film!

Davis spoke about JuVee Productions and wanting to create projects for herself. She’s blazing her path on her own dime, and we’re so here for it!
