This New Game is Coming For Your Black Card!

What’s the best music movie of all time? The Five Heartbeats? Purple Rain? The Temptations?

There’s no easy answers, but lots of laughs, when it comes to answering questions like these in the new game “Black Card Revoked“.

Co-founded by Brooklyn-born Latesha Williams (former Director of Digital and Business Development for Lebron James’ management company, LRMR), the game plays off of the popularity of card games like Cards Against Humanity, but takes the “Blackness” of it all to new heights by asking questions related to African-American culture.

Questions like:

Which R&B songstress would you want to have your back in a fight? A) K. Michelle B) Rihanna C) Keyshia Cole or D) Tamar Braxton? (Keyshia Cole wins here, obvi.)

And also questions like:

By what time did you have to be home when you were a kid? A) When it got dark B) 8 p.m. C) When the street lights came on or D) Midnight. (If you don’t know the answer to that classic query then yes, you should have your black card revoked!)

Williams said she got the idea for the game from Black Twitter.

“We’d been toying around with game ideas for a while, but the hashtags that popped up around Rachel Dolezal brought it to the forefront. That moment and moments like it, like #CookOutNewsNetwork, brought to light the shared experiences of our cultural group.”

Pulling from pop culture, Black history and “those lessons your momma taught you,” the game, which you can pre-order online for only $13.99 highlights the best of Black culture in a way that’s sure to inspire friendly—and loud—debates.

Throw this one in there with Taboo during your next game night and watch the fireworks fly!
