Missy Elliott‘s comeback is officially in full swing!

The superstar will receive the “Innovator Award” at Billboard’s Inaugural Women in Music 2015 ceremony. Elliott just released her first single in 10 years, “WTF (Where They From?),” this month.

“Missy Elliott is a once-in-a-generation artist and producer whose artistic brilliance and creative vision have transformed pop and hip hop music,” said Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group.

The Innovator Award is given to “artists whose masterful body of work has consistently broken new ground in pop music.”

Min goes on to say, “There are few artists more respected by her peers and more creative. We are proud to honor her with the inaugural Women in Music Innovator Award.”

The ceremony will air December 18 on Lifetime.

Currently, Elliott holds the record for most Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for any female artist with six top five albums.

This is an honor Elliott truly deserves!
