Michael Brown’s Family Files Suit Against Ferguson

On Wednesday, attorneys for the family of Michael Brown, Black teen murdered by Darren Wilson in Ferguson, MO last summer, announced a wrongful death suit against the town in Missouri. Wilson was cleared of all charges and resigned from the force.

Attorneys Benjamin Crump and Daryl Parks said the lawsuit would be filed today.

But check this out.

The day before, the U.S. Justice Department declared no findings of civil rights infractions in the shooting of Brown by Wilson. Subsequently though, the department reported findings of the Ferguson Police Department to be racially bias and act in illegal patterns against Black Americans in the community.

Mixed messages much?

Even more telling is shortly after this report was released, the then police chief, Thomas Jackson, chucked the deuces to the force.

No amount of money can bring Michael Brown back or take the pain of his heinous death away. But I hope they take Ferguson for all they got and win!

Lady Justice, please emerge from your deep slumber.
