Kanye West Took Minimalist to the Extreme in His New York Apartment!
One look inside Kanye West‘s Soho apartment and what you’ll notice is lots of space and neutral tones. The music star and fashion designer lives in an apartment designed by architect Claudio Silvestrin, which also served as inspiration for his Yeezy Season collections.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, West said his collections were all about color. He drew inspiration from Silvestrin’s modern and tonal apartments.
He describes it saying, “…Stressing the importance of color, the importance of that to our sanity, these Zen, monochrome palettes.”
“I’ve stayed in a Claudio Silvestrin apartment since I was 26, and I love those types of palettes and that’s my opinion.”
Indeed, West’s $4.5 million 2, 000 square foot Claudio Silvestrin-designed Soho apartment features natural hues, French limestone, pearwood and two large stone structures as the main parts of the kitchen and bathroom.
