Instagram Updates Rules on Nudity, Breastfeeding Now Allowed

We crunkly champion the public breastfeeding movement. I mean really, babies need to be fed and why should their mommy milk moments be reduced to the corners of an unsanitary, stank-be-ridden bathroom or random closet just to appease the jerks who wish they could feel up a naked breast or two in their beds, anyway?

Well now Instagram joins the public breastfeeding cause! After several major celebs posted adorable breastfeeding pics including Alyssa Milano, Jaime King and Alanis Moriette, the popular social media site decided to update their guidelines. “Women actively breastfeeding are allowed” including posts showing “post-mastectomy scarring”, a statement from Instagram says. Hands in the air for the mommys! POW!

Oh and now IG also will also allow “nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures.” I can see this going very badly. But ok!

The full statement straight from the folks at IG reads, “We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety or reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram.”

And for the freaks out there, this includes “photos, videos and some digitally-created content that show intercourse, genitals and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks.”
