Sometimes you just want a solo moment to yourself outside of the house and that moment can be the best date ever. Finding yourself alone in a restaurant that seems to only accommodate parties of two or more can be unnerving. But it can also be a great way to enjoy some time with yourself. It’s always nice to have company to brunch with— in no way am I saying to take on a table alone during brunch in New York. Something like that will get your table taken over by the loud loquacious lushes next to you. Start small and grab lunch at a café or communal bar table. Stop at a new spot for happy hour on your way home from the office and order a small plate. If you are ready to go all in, go to dinner. Making a dinner reservation for one can be empowering.
