What Really Happened With Azealia Banks and Russell Crowe?

This morning, rapper, Azealia Banks, was trending on Twitter, and no, it was not because she released a surprise album. Once again, Banks found herself in the middle of another controversy which has nothing to do with music.

Banks just signed a deal with on RZA‘s new label and was his guest at a dinner party hosted by Russell Crowe at a Beverly Hills hotel. Clearly, tensions ran high between Crowe and Banks. According to witnesses who were in attendance, Banks “laughed out loud” at Crowe’s music selection and called he and another guest, “boring White men.”

After a woman came to Crowe’s defense, Banks reportedly said, “You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s***.” Banks also reportedly used the N-word several times during the night.

Once Banks did this, Crowe reportedly grabbed her in a bear hug and carried her out of his suite where security guards removed her.

Banks shared her version of events on a since-deleted Facebook post where she claims Crowe called her the N-word and choked her.

“To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell crowe’s suite, at which he called me a ni**er, choked me, threw me out and spat at me,” she wrote.

“Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. The men in the room allowed it to happen.”

Banks’ spokesperson released a statement saying, “Azealia is tremendously distraught and disheartened. She is shell shocked and will speak out on the incident once she has had time to process the brutality and abuse she was unjustly subjected to.”

Four guests who attended the party said Banks’ behavior was “erratic.” Even RZA, who Banks attended the party with, said she used the N-word and not Crowe.

Crowe has not released a statement on the incident.

This is far from the first celebrity feud Banks has found herself in this year. She’s also had public fights with Sarah Palin and Zayn Malik.

And who could forget Disney star, Skai Jackson, putting the rapper in her place on Twitter a few months ago?
