John Legend to Guest Star As Frederick Douglass On the Second Season of “Underground”

If you watched the WGN series, “Underground,” earlier this year, then you’re probably highly anticipating the show’s second season because the finale ended on a cliffhanger. This cliffhanger introduced Harriet Tubman as a character, which shouldn’t be a surprise, since the show is focused on slaves escaping for their freedom.

According to “Underground’s” c0-creator and executive producer, Misha Green, Tubman is “a character that’s going to be coming in and out of our series, for sure.”

For the second season, the show will highlight America being on the brink of the Civil War, and Tubman will be played by actress, Aisha Hinds.

Another character you can expect to see is Frederick Douglass, the famed abolitionist. It was recently announced John Legend, who is an executive producer of “Underground,” will be playing Douglass in the series.

This should be interesting seeing as how Legend has not done much acting outside of guest roles where he appeared as himself.

The second season of “Underground” is shaping up to be must-see!
