Is “Being Mary Jane” Moving to New York?!

It’s been a good while since we’ve seen Mary Jane Paul and company. Last season was a rollercoaster ride which included some tough conversations revolving around mental health, family secrets, diversity in newsrooms, extortion and of course, sex.

The show left off with Mary Jane doing a story on police brutality and seeing a video of her niece getting tasered by a police officer.

With the fourth season of “Being Mary Jane” set to premiere on BET this January, Mary Jane might be moving to New York City. In a new teaser for the show, Mary Jane seems to be taking on a “new city” and a “new attitude.”

We can expect more than a new location for the show. Show runner Mara Brock Akil and her director husband, Salim Akil, have left the show to sign a deal with Warner Bros. Erica Shelton, who was a producer on “The Good Wife,” is going to be taking Mara’s place.

Producer Will Packer (Stomp the Yard, This Christmas, Think Like A Man) will be producing the show.

If you’re not following Gabrielle Union on Snapchat (GabUnionWade), which you should be, she’s currently filming and gives her followers a behind-the-scenes look into getting glam for the show.
