This New Lifetime Romantic Comedy Stars Kelly Rowland, Meagan Good and Keri Hilson!

Who doesn’t love a good romantic comedy, especially ones that stars some of our favorite Black actresses?! A new Lifetime original movie called “The 10th Date” began production today in Los Angeles and it stars Meagan Good, Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson and Kellee Stewart.

Directed by Nzingha Stewart, the film will focus on the actresses who play four friends who are trying to juggle their dating lives and careers while working at an upscale website.

Rowland’s character is Margot, a journalist who develops feelings for a reggae artist she was only supposed to be interviewing. Hilson plays Billie, who has reached a point in her marriage where she doesn’t know what to do next. Good and Stewart play Gabby and Nell, respectively, who embark on a “10th date” journey to find “the one.”

Adding some testosterone to the cast will be actor/comedian, Brandon T. Jackson (Roll Bounce, Tropic Thunder, Lottery Ticket), who will play the creative director of the website the ladies work for.

“The 10th Date” is said to show a modern look at dating with all of its requirements, highs and lows while trying to navigate exes, careers and life.

This isn’t Stewart’s first time directing an original film for Lifetime. Her first was last year’s “With This Ring,” which starred Regina Hall, Jill Scott and Eve.

“The 10th Date” is slated to premiere in 2017.
