Nick Gordon Loses Wrongful Death Lawsuit And Found Responsible For Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Death
Today, Nick Gordon, the former boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, lost the wrongful death lawsuit which was filed against him by Brown’s estate, alleging he was responsible for the 22-year-old’s untimely death and sought $50 million in damages.
The conservator of Brown’s estate won by default because Gordon failed to meet court deadlines regarding the case. The lawsuit was filed in 2015 and a jury will decide the final amount which is owed to the estate.
On January 31, 2015, Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub in the Atlanta townhouse she shared with Gordon. After being rushed to the hospital, she never regained consciousness and died July 26, 2016 while in hospice case.
Brown was the only heir to her mother Whitney Houston‘s estate. Before Brown was moved to hospice care, there was a $10 million dollar civil suit filed against Gordon alleging he physically abused Brown by knocking out her teeth and dragging her, controlled her and took large amounts of her money without permission.
There were also allegations Gordon falsely represented himself as Brown’s husband so he access the millions she inherited. No criminal charges have been filed against Gordon at this time.
