3 Times Chris Brown Had A Run-In With Police

Yesterday, was not a good day for Chris Brown. Earlier in the day, reports broke of a woman alleging the R&B singer pointed a gun at her while she was at his home. According to the alleged victim, who has been identified as 24-year-old, Baylee Curran, she and Chris got into an argument over jewelry.

Baylee was at Chris’ home in Tarzana, Calif. on Monday night with a friend who was invited over. This all happened around 3 AM. After the confrontation, either Baylee or a neighbor she claims called the cops and reported the incident. Since the wee hours of the morning, cops were outside Chris’ house. The LAPD went about getting search warrant and the SWAT team was called in. Because the LAPD did not have a search warrant and his lawyer, Mark Geragos, was not present, Chris did not let the cops inside his house until they had the proper documents and his representative was with him.

There were reports of a standoff with police which really was not the case. After hours of searching the house for a gun, Chris was still arrested and charged with suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Shortly before midnight, he posted bail for $250, 000 and was released.

We all know this is far from Chris’ first run-in with police, but this situation has more than a few missing pieces.

But let’s look a few of Chris’ past legal problems which have brought him face-to-face with the legal system.

Charged in hit-and-run traffic accident

In 2013, while still on probation, Chris was charged with a hit-and-run and driving without a valid license during a minor traffic accident in Los Angeles. He allegedly rear-ended another car, but there are paparazzi photos of he and the driver of the other car exchanging information.

Washington, D.C. arrest

Chris’ most notable arrest came in October 2013 while in Washington, D.C. for a show. He was taken into custody for felony assault for allegedly assaulting a man outside a hotel in front of his tour bus. Police say Chris punched the man in the face and his bodyguard was also arrested. This resulted in Chris checking himself into rehab for anger issues.

Sent to jail after getting kicked out of rehab

In March 2014, Chris was kicked out rehab and was thrown in jail. Due to the charge in Washington, D.C., his probation was revoked. He was released from jail in early June.
