Here’s the First Black-Owned Beauty Forecasting App!
When it comes to our hair, clothes and makeup, a large part of what goes into our decision of what to wear that day is based around the weather.
We’re all accustomed to looking at the weather on our smartphones to see if we’ll need an umbrella or light jacket throughout the week. We also look at the weather to determine what products we’re going to use on our hair and on our skin when we do our makeup.
There’s now a beauty forecasting app, the first of its kind, which is going to simplify your morning makeup routine. Cast Beauty is an app that helps women identify which products to use in their hair and on their skin based on the weather in their area and their personal beauty profile.
If the weather is calling for rain, humidity or sunny days, the users will know what products will work best on their hair and skin.
The app is the brainchild of Sian Morson, who is setting out to fill a void in the digital beauty space. Morson was inspired to create the app after becoming frustrated with trying to figure out what products to use on her hair and skin when she was in different climates.
This is Morson’s first app, but she has been in the technology industry for several years having launched a co-working space and published her first book, “Learn Design for iOS.” In 2015, she was a recipient of the Women In Digital Awards by L’Oreal thanks to her Cast Beauty app.
