Bernie Supporters Shut Down Hillary with #ToneDownForWhat
You can’t say people aren’t out here feeling the Bern, because Bernie Sanders supporters are caping hard for the democratic presidential candidate especially against democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.
When Senator Sanders proposed that he and Senator Clinton have a debate in New York, Clinton’s chief strategist Joel Benenson said that wouldn’t happen until Sanders changed his “tone” and stopped running such negative campaign ads.
“Senator Sanders doesn’t decide when we get to debate, particularly when he’s running a very negative campaign against us,” Benenson said on Monday. “Let’s see if he goes back to the kind of tone he said he was gonna set early on. If he does that, then we’ll talk about debates.”
Well Sanders supporters were not here for the hypocritical statement, considering none of Sanders ads were really malicious or even out of line. So they took to twitter to shut down Hillary using the hashtag #ToneDownForWhat and as always it’s golden.
One user pointed out that Hillary herself in 2008 said, “you should be willing to debate anytime, anywhere.”

If you didn’t want anyone bringing up your record maybe you should have made a better record. #ToneDownForWhat

But the most important take away from all of this is to remember that your voice only matters if you actually get out there and vote!
