New ‘Vogue’ Documentary ‘The First Monday in May’ Takes You Behind the Met Gala!

Fashion girls, you can rejoice! There is another documentary about Vogue happening and the trailer is now available for your viewing pleasure.

The First Monday in May follows the events leading up to last year’s Met Gala, where the theme  was “China: Through the Looking Glass.”

Directed by Andrew Rossi, the documentary follows Vogue Director of Special Projects, Sylvana Ward Durrett, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute curator, Andrew Bolton, as they set up the gala and exhibition.

This follows the first Vogue documentary, The September Issue, which gave a behind-the-scenes look at how editors put together the fashion bible for the biggest month in fashion.

You can expect The First Monday in May to feature lots of side eye from Anna Wintour as well as the celebrity seating chart.

The First Monday in May will open April 13 at the Tribeca Film Festival.
