Get A First Look at Lifetime’s Toni Braxton Biopic, ‘Unbreak My Heart’
It’s no secret that Lifetime doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to biopic movies.
Black twitter destroyed the Aliyah biopic, which was controversial from the moment of it’s announcement and the Whitney Houston biopic was met with criticism but fared better than Aliyah’s.
Next up on Lifetime’s list is Grammy-Award winner, Toni Braxton, with a biopic titled: “Unbreak My Heart.”
Based off of Braxton’s 2014 memoir of the same title, the movie is set to cover Braxton’s rise to fame, financial struggles, her public divorce, dealing with her sickness, and her life raising her Autistic son.
The film is being produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, and executive produced by Braxton herself.
Lex Scott Davis will star as Toni Braxton and Toni herself is slated to make a guest appearance as well.
The movie is set for release January 23rd, but in the mean time Lifetime has gifted us a trailer that actually gives us some faith.
Maybe with Toni’s involvement in the project this biopic will finally be the one that Lifetime gets right.
Check out the trailer and decide for yourself, is this finally the biopic worth watching? Sound off!
