Jennifer Lopez was the host for Sunday night’s “American Music Awards” and you know she brought the fashion and the dancing and that was all in the first hour!
Check out how the superstar icon and “American Idol” judge slayed and threw shade during her hosting duties at the same damn time!
- Her Opening Dance Number
What better way to open one of the biggest nights in music than with an explosive dance number?
That’s exactly what Lopez did on the “humble” when she danced through a medley of her peers biggest hits this year which included Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk,” Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda,” Beyonce’s “7/11,” The Weeknd’s “Cant Feel My Face,” Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” Chris Brown’s “Love More” and Justin Bieber and Skrillex’s “Where Are U Now?”
Jen slayed the choreography in DSquared couture to club anthems better than the actual singers, and yes, Bey and Nicki, she gave the both of you a run for your coin. Jenny from the Block still got it!
2. The Nicki Minaj Moment
While Lopez was dancing to “Anaconda,” the camera panned to Minaj who was in the audience. To the viewers at home, Nicki’s facial expression looked unimpressed.
People mused if Nicki and JLo have a little hostile rival, because well, Jen’s ass-sets are authentic and Onika’s are not. But the Queen of the Barbs cleared it on Twitter.
lol says what all? I’m looking at my own face on the screen when I’m looking to the right. I turn Bak & look @ her 😂 https://t.co/39JXJbesEW

3. The Wardrobe Changes
We all know Lopez is known for shutting down every red carpet, and she brought out the big guns in the fashion department last night.
There were multiple wardrobe changes featuring body-hugging gowns, sheer gowns and cut-out gowns.
Her opening number bodysuit was DSquared2 and some other designers of her gowns were Michael Cinco, Balmain, Zuhair Murad.
JLo basically gave us a reminder (as if we needed one) that she still does this and as for these young girls, they’ve got nothing on her.
