Looks Like T.I Won’t Be Caping for Iggy Azalea Anymore

T.I. finally cut all ties with and dropped Iggy Azalea, let the praise dancing commence! It’s about time. But we’re wondering why?

T.I. let loose on Hot 97 Wednesday morning during the “Ebro in the Morning” show. The rap mogul, let the crew know he had officially decided to bow out as Iggy’s “mentor” and would be cutting all business ties with her.

Iggy Azelea has made her fair share of enemies in essentially every industry, as most see her as a no talent, culture appropriating, plastic, product. She’s known more for the times she’s completely disregarded Black culture while simultaneously benefiting from it.

The Twitter lessons’s in Black culture and hip hop she’s been taught in the past from artists like Azealia Banks and Q. Tip haven’t seemed to stick, despite T.I.’s defense of her.

Even in his parting T.I. couldn’t stop caping, though.

“In her defense, she had a lot thrown at her at one time,” he told the radio crew. “Any human being anywhere [is gonna] have a hard time adjusting… It came at a time when culturally in this nation — when she’s not from here — we were actually looking for a source to place that pent-up aggression. Some stuff they brought upon themselves. In some cases, it kind of was the easiest place to put some pent-up aggression.”

Not sure we’re here for T.I.’s reasoning behind the defense, Iggy pretty much earned all of the criticism. But nonetheless we’re elated happy he won’t be playing for her team anymore.

T.I. told the morning show hosts a main reason for him parting ways with Azalea is her lack of mutual support in helping herself.

“Right now, Imma block the bullets…” he recalled. “When I say, ‘Go?’ Go! Don’t stand around and tote while I’m blocking bullets. You slowing me down, you know what I’m saying?”

We’re almost certain there’s more to this story. We’ll be checking Iggy’s Twitter timeline.
