Jay Z Celebrates 1 Million Tidal Subscribers with Brooklyn Festival Featuring Beyonce, Prince and Nicki Minaj!

It looks like Jay Z’s highly-criticized music streaming service Tidal, has reached a major milestone!

On Monday, the music mogul announced on Twitter his company now has 1 million subscribers.

Since, Jay Z is rarely, if ever on social media, this accomplishment is definitely a big deal because he also dropped a hint about a possible event taking place in Brooklyn on October 20. Today the Tidal X: 1020 Concert was announced. It will take place at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and will feature performances from Prince, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Lil Wayne and T.I. The show is sponsored by HTC and all funds will go to charity via the New World Foundation on behalf of Tidal.

Concert tickets will go on sale to Tidal subscribers today and tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday via Ticketmaster. Prices range from $74 to $244, but fans are encouraged to donate to the New World Foundation to help raise more money for charity.

The show will be streamed live on the Tidal site and will be available for everyone, not just Tidal subscribers, to watch the show. Viewers will also be able to donate to the charity through the site during the show.

More names will announced to the show lineup. Are you going? Sound off!
