Expect to See Dessert At Chipotle Soon

Chain restaurant, Chipotle, is still trying to win back customers who still have not returned since last year’s E. coli, Norovirus and salmonella outbreak.

So far, we’ve seen a rewards program where you get free food and a buy one get one deal. During this past Tuesday’s earnings call, Chipotle investors announced a plan for dessert options according to Eater.

Steve Ells, the founder of Chipotle, said the chain is adding to the menu as a way “to entice infrequent or lapsed customers to return.”

There’s still no word on what type of desserts will be coming to Chipotle or when, but company executives are evaluating two options.

Dessert can be very broad. It can either be a cookie, ice cream with toppings, a brownie or cake.

In addition to dessert, Ells has other plans for the menu.

“I’m not saying that we won’t add breakfast [one day],” he said.
