Instagram Comments May Be History Soon!

We all love social media, but there are time our experiences using our favorite apps can become negative when people begin to say mean and derogatory things to us.

Twitter currently has this issue, and the only thing they’ve been able to do is delete accounts which in turn causes drama because people bring up the first amendment of free speech.

It’s being reported by the Washington Post, photo-sharing app, Instagram, will soon allow users to filter their comment streams as well as turn off comments period.

We’ve all seen people have full-on verbal fights in a celebrity or brand’s Instagram account, or belittle a celebrity’s baby or body.

In order to ensure users have a more positive experience on the platform,  Instagram’s head of public policy, Nicky Jackson Colaco, said in a statement, “Our goal is to make Instagram a friendly, fun and, most importantly, safe place for self expression. We have slowly begun to offer accounts with high volume comment threads the option to moderate their comment experience. As we learn, we look forward to improving the comment experience for our broader community.”

Now, what will happen to all those people who have so much time on their hands they argue with strangers on the Internet?
