Alicia Keys, Beyonce and Rihanna Speak Out About Police Brutality in New Video

Over the past few weeks, America has been shaken to its core. We can no longer ignore the issue of police brutality in this country, thanks in part to social media shining a new light on unlawful police killings.

In times like this, we often look to celebrities or those with a large platform to use their voice as a way to educate and inform and inform their audience.

In an original video for Mic, based on the site’s piece, “23 Everyday Actions Punishable By Death If You’re Black In America,” and organized by Alicia Keys, some of the biggest celebrities come together issue a powerful statement of all the ways you can die if you’re Black in America.

Along with Keys, featured in the video are Beyonce, Rihanna, Chris Rock, Common, Taraji P. Henson, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, Janelle MonaeLenny Kravitz and Pharrell Williams among many more.

They touch on the deaths of Sandra Bland, Philando Castile, Eric Garner, Ramarley Graham, Oscar Grant, Freddie Gray, Alton Sterling, Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, Walter Scott, Sean Bell, Akai Gurley, Renisha McBride, John Crawford and Rekia Boyd among others.
