Watch JCPenney’s Ad for Their Plus-Size Line ‘Here I Am’!

Fashion designers and brand are now taking strides to make their clothing “body positive” and inclusive thanks to social media showing you don’t need to be a size 2 in order to be stylish.

JCPenney is unveiling its plus-size line, Here I Am, and its new ad hits the proverbial nail on the head. It features familiar faces such as style blogger, Gabi Fresh; Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Mary Lambert and “Project Runway” winner and JCPenney designer, Ashley Nell Tipton. Also featured is author and body advocate, Jes Baker and yoga practitioner, Valerie Sagun.

In the ad, Fresh shares how in high school she thought she would be prettier if she were thin.

“If I could reach that last one level, my life would be perfect,” she said.

“You can’t love your body for what you hope it turns into without actively loving it for what it is today,” said Lambert.

“The only person who should be defining me is me,” said Nell Tipton.

The ad goes on to show the ladies going about their lives while looking cute in the process.

“My size isn’t an indicator of my worth,” said Lambert.
