Look At Oprah’s Next Acting Gig!

Oprah‘s OWN network found its stride and is flourishing with shows such as “Haves and the Have Nots,” “If Loving You Is Wrong,” “For Better or Worse,” “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” “Iyanla: Fix My Life” and more.

There is also a drama series from Ava DuVernay, “Queen Sugar,” which will be debuting on the network later this year.

The last film Oprah appeared in was Lee Daniels’ The Butler, but the media powerhouse will be flexing her acting muscle once again in the 13-part megachurch series, “Greenleaf,” which will premiere June 21.

Anyone whose followed Oprah knows she never hid her spirituality or belief in God. She plays a recurring character named Mavis McCready in the series which will be about the lives of a family running a megachurch, and because this such a big part of Black culture, especially, it will definitely get people talking.

Oprah recently tweeted a teaser video of “Greenleaf” which also stars Lynn Whitfield.
