Michelle Obama Gets Even More Cooler With New Single “This Is For My Girls”!

It’s safe to say First Lady Michelle Obama will go down in history as one of the coolest First Ladies to ever grace the White House.

FLOTUS recently teamed up with some of the biggest female artists in the music industry, for the song “This Is For My Girls.” Written by Diane Warren and produced by AOL Makers (a digital platform dedicated to showing female stories), the artists featured on the track are Missy Elliott, Zendaya, Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Rowland, Janelle Monae, Lea Michele, Chloe x Halle and Jada Grace.

The song hit radio on Tuesday right before the First Lady’s scheduled appearance today at SXSW in Austin, Texas where she sat on a panel discussion with Warren, Elliott and Sophia Bush which was moderated by Queen Latifah.

The conversation focused on First Lady Obama’s Let Girls Learn initiative, which is dedicated to providing opportunities to the 62 million girls around the world who do not have access to education.

“This Is For My Girls” is available for download and all proceeds will benefit the Peace Corps Let Girls Learn Fund. It should also be noted all artists who participated in the song waived their royalties and feeds.
