Before you get too excited though there are some major changes that come with it. The biggest one being that Tyra Banks will not be coming back as the host and primary judge on the newest cycles. But Tyra will still be in play as an executive producer.

VH1 has ordered 14 episodes of the show which doesn’t have a premiere date just yet but is scheduled to take place in New York. The show is looking like it’s going to be getting a makeover.

In a statement on the show Tyra stated, “[I] must turn my attention to new business endeavors, so I want to find a new host. Top Model fans, you demanded that the show come back, and VH1 answered the call. Get ready for a fierce-a-fied rebirth!”

Even with the sad departure of Tyra’s crazy but endearing personality on the screen we can’t help but be beyond psyched for the return of our beloved show.

We can accept some changes, just as long as we still get to watch models lose it when they have to cut off their hair in the makeover episode, 10 minutes after they said they’d do anything to be a good model. giphy (78)

Who do you want to see taking Tyra’s place as host?
